Blancmange - Creams - Sauces

Aus gesetzlichen Gründen dürfen aus veganen Zutaten hergestellte Drinks nicht als Milch bezeichnet werden.

Blancmange

Instead of the recipe with cow's milk for blancmange that you usually use, use a slightly sweetened soy milk.

Annes Carob-Pudding

Ingredients: 2 cups of soy milk, ¼ cup of nuts, ¼ cup of coconut flakes, 5-6 teaspoons of light Carob-Powder, ¼ teaspoon of vanilla essence (powder), ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/8 teaspoon of cardamom, 1/8 teaspoon of salt, 2 cups of cold water, 1 cup of ground rice, ½ phial of rum-aroma, ½ phial of -vanilla essence, honey or basic-sweetener.

Preparation:

  • Place the first 4 ingredients in mixer and blend very finely.
  • Take a bowl and whisk the water, ground rice, spices and the blended ingredients.
  • Bring the mixture to the boil on 2 - 2 1/2 and stir continually.
  • Boil for 5 - 10 minutes.
  • Transfer the blancmange to a bowl and leave to cool.

Spelt-Blancmange

Ingredients: 1 lit Spelt drink from the machine, 1½ packets of vanilla blancmange powder, 2-3 tablespoons of raw cane-sugar.
Preparation:

  • Bring the spelt-drink to the boil, stirring continually.
  • Mix the blancmange powder and the sugar together with a little of the spelt drink and stir into the boiling drink.
  • Bring to the boil and then transfer to glass serving dishes.

 

Spelt and Fruit Paste

Ingredients: 200 g spelt paste from your machine, 500 g fruit according to what is in season, 1 - 2 tablespoons of agave's purée..

Preparation:

  • Mix the spelt paste and the agave's purée.
  • Cut the fresh fruit into small pieces.
  • Mix the fruit with the spelt paste.

 


Banana Cream

Ingredients: 100 g Tofu, 1/3 cup of Sojagen (from Grano Vita) 1/3 cup of almonds, ½ cup of whole rice  pre-cooked,  2 cups of water, 1 cup of dates or 1/3 cup of honey, vanilla, 2 tablespoons lemon juice, 3 bananas

Preparation:

  • With the exception of the lemon juice and the bananas, blend all other ingredients to a fine cream.
  • Add the lemon juice and 2 bananas and blend again.
  • Mix the blend in a bowl with small banana cubes.
  • Finally if desired, pineapple pieces can be added.

Avocado-Fruit-Cream

Ingredients: 1 pear, ½ avocado, 1 banana, ½ cup of dates, ½ cup of soy milk

Preparation: Use a mixer to blend all the ingredients to a fine cream.
As an alternative you can add a few aniseed or fennel kernels!

This cream is delicious as a topping for fruit salad, or on top of waffles instead of plain cream.

Barley-Tofu-Cream

Ingredients: 100 g barley paste from your machine, 100 g silky Tofu (= soft Tofu for desserts) 1 - 2 tablespoons of maple syrup, a few drops of lemon juice Preparation: Blend the Tofu very finely and then add the other ingredients and transfer to glass serving dishes


Orange-Tofu-Cream

Ingredients: 250 g Tofu, 1 orange, 2-3 teaspoons of honey, 1/8 cup of cashew nuts or almonds, 1 teaspoon organic orange peel or a packet of Orange-Back (Schwartau), 1-2 tablespoons of lemon juice

Banana-Sauce with Soy Drink

Ingredients: ½ lit. soy milk, 2 large or 3 small bananas, 1 tablespoon of honey or maple syrup

Preparation:
Blend the bananas in a mixer and beat until frothy, add the soy milk

Add the honey or maple syrup, serve slightly sweetened

Banana-Sauce with Rice Drink

Ingredients: ½ lit rice milk, 2 large or 3 small bananas

Preparation: Blend the bananas with a mixer add the rice milk. Serve slightly chilled.


Blancmange-Sauce with Banana

Ingredients: ½ cup of soy milk, ½ packet blancmange powder, 1 banana, 1 tablespoon almond paste, 2 tablespoons raw cane-sugar

Preparation:
Take 1 cup soy milk and add the blancmange powder

Boil the remainder of the soy milk and whisk in the almond paste

When the soy milk comes to the boil immediately whisk in the dissolved blancmange powder and after 1 minute remove from the stove

Using a fork break down the bananas, stir until creamy and add to the blancmange

Sugar to taste and serve either cold or warm
